Refugee Week 2018
We are very excited to be involved!
As part of our support for refugee week, we are encouraging Devon Schools to get involved with OHOB ( Open Hearts, Open Borders ), a humanitarian charity which is supporting Syrian refugees in Lesvos, Greece. The attached powerpoint and poster below will provide you with further details of the urgent aid appeal being run by the charity.
The Refugee Week presentation provides pupils with some background knowledge and activities based on conditions in Lesvos refugee camps today. This presentation can be used either for a small group of pupils, or during your assembly. Please feel free to alter any part of the presentation according to the age group.
Refugee week runs from 12th to 18th June, so the collection for Lesvos would be a good introduction to any work your school wanted to undertake for the week. Any items from the list which you can collect will be shipped by OHOB to Lesvos on the 6th June.
Please deliver your collections to:
Armadillo Storage ( formerly Quickstore ) 103 Grace Road West , Exeter, EX2 8PU
If you have a large amount of items, please get in touch with email@example.com
Please spread the word far and wide and let's get this container filled!
