Happy New Year!

Welcome back to a sunny new term of celebrating diversity and supporting our more vulnerable ethnic minority children achieve to their potential in our local schools!

We are planning on working closely with UASC ( Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children) this year and are keen to help schools get a Schools of Sanctuary Award. We are working on lots of new, exciting resources including a Survival English Pack for new arrivals, an Activity School set of lesson plans with teacher's notes, a CPD pack for teachers and training for foster carers- it's looking like a busy term!

We are holding three networks for EAL and schools supporting refugees this term- book your place on CPD online.

GCSE Home Language- UPDATES As you know all the students supported by EMTAS last year passed their exam with 86% of pupils gaining a level 9-7! We are planning to run this again and are close to our deadline - 31st January. for those interested in Home Language GCSE please contact: Sarah Brown (sarah.brown@babockinternational.com)
