Advisory Teacher (SEMH)
This is an exciting and valuable opportunity to join an established, well respected team who provide support primarily for Devon schools and settings to increase capacity, confidence and skills in meeting the needs of children and young people who have difficulties related to social, emotional and mental health needs.
The post is for one year initially and will require the successful candidate to work in collaboration to:
- Create, manage, deliver and evaluate programmes of professional development for school staff
- Provide advice, support and challenge schools on provision and practice in relation to pupils with SEMH
- Encourage a co-ordinated approach in addressing a pupil’s learning, social, communication and developmental needs to support inclusion, participation and achievement.
- Work closely with SENCO’s and school leaders to consider and develop whole school policies and approaches that support and enable positive SEMH
